Every man should carry a pocket knife. It’s just one of those things that you carry: wallet, keys, and pocket knife. Unfortunately they’ve developed a sort of stigma and they are more then frowned upon in many places. I used to carry my knife all the time but stopped for a brief time as I started working at Safeway. However, it’s like missing a limb… I just can’t do without it. My trusty knife is now with me. Never shall we part~ (except for airplane trips *grumble grumble*).

Ah! But I’m not advocating the use of a knife for the sake of a weapon or for defense but merely as a tool to facilitate your daily going ons. Knives take some skill or practice to effectively use as a tool for self defense and oft are as dangerous for the wielder himself if he is inexperienced in using it in that manner.
But point taken. I should just get my CCW and call it good. *smile*
