It has come to the attention to The Blog that some recent posts have stirred quite the controversy amongst The Blog’s faithful readership. While The Blog has no intention of retracting the statement made nor in apologizing for anything except perhaps the confusion generated, The Blog does feel that some order of explanation may be needed as there seemed to be some misconceptions being formed.

On the night of March 13th, one FiveIronAna decided to leave herself logged into her blog on the personal computer of one Aaron while she was transferring from his residence to return to her own. Upon notification of this opportunity, we (being Aaron and Trebonte) realized we had to act quick as she would receive access to the internet in short order.

With the subject given by Trebonte of "Aaron is Awesome," Aaron quickly typed up the post on FiveIronAna’s blog in keeping with her style of writing. Even we at The Blog didn’t expect the true nature of the post until after he revealed it to us. Soon after, we at The Blog had our companion post and as soon as FiveIronAna returned to the realm of the internet, we sent her the link to the companion post so that she’d find out through the rabbit trail of links.

As we suspected, the reaction was priceless and very much worth it. We, at The Blog, then offered to remove both posts before their publication was made known to the readership. However she declined and thus the posts remain as is.

We at The Blog are indeed making a shift in the overall feel of The Blog from matters of levity and fluff to something of a more serious and weighty nature. However, The Blog will always keep its sense of humor. The Blog is somewhat disappointed that this particular post was assumed to be among the more solemn ones and were taken in the same manner that posts of more weight should be received in. Perhaps this is the fault of The Blog in not providing fair enough warning.

But in all childishness aside, while the proclamation of Aaron as the "cat’s meow" for women everywhere was all done in jest (with him as a cohort, mind you) to serve a rather limited and selfish purpose, The Blog is indeed very proud of having the privilege of calling Aaron a friend. The words we spoke in praise of him were not idle ones but the truth. He will grow into a very fine man indeed. Not like the child-men of today’s generation.

For the sake of the story that The Blog attempted to weave for FiveIronAna’s benefit, we overemphasized his so-called "suffering." We have the faith and the confidence in Aaron that he, in due time, will find a girl lucky enough share his life. But that is for the future.

As The Blog is constantly reminded, singleness is mere a transitional stage in life and can be a great opportunity to lay down the groundwork for the plan that has been set out for us. More on the topic of singleness later (later then sooner).

And as for the true victim of our prank, we also consider it a great privilege and joy to have her our small circle of friends. We thank her for having the grace to forgive us of our childish actions and for laughing along with us afterwards. We are also confident that we will be receiving our "just desserts" in due time. To which The Blog proudly proclaims, "Bring it on!"

The Blog does find it rather amusing, though, that it was assumed that Trebonte and FiveIronAna were conspiring against Aaron (although the destruction of Aaron is among the required work tasks as prescribed by Trebonte’s boss) when, in fact, she was the one being conspired against.

And with that, The Blog thanks you for your continued patronage. Without you, while The Blog would still remain, The Blog isn’t quite as useful or enjoyable. We at The Blog rather enjoy all your comments and find it greatly encouraging when we (ever so rarely) turn out to be useful or enjoyable. And with that, we will resume "shortly" with your traditional broadcast.
