Monday, being President’s Day, was a day off from school. Being the fun loving aimless college students who always look for a reason to party or hang out, we decided not to let this opportunity pass. Instead of just watching movies or playing board games, we made an epic trip to Seattle instead.

Dick's burgers

Our initial goal was to get hamburgers at Dick’s and then roam the streets of the International District. We successfully found Dick’s but then decided that we wanted to eat our lunch at the arboretum. Failing to find that we ended up eating at the Ballard locks. Adventuring is so much more fun when you have multiple objectives.

The locks are actually rather nifty. Rabenstrange’s dad had talked about them and explained how they worked the week before at the end of our bible study. It was really nifty to see it all unfold. I was kind of expecting the locks to be bigger but I guess bigger vessels just go around to the other locks in Seattle.

Afterwards we stayed over at the Mottaz residence for dinner (homemade burgers and fries ftw!) and watched Loonie Toons and the third Pink Panther (the old ones).

Reaching out to the masses in the only way he knows

I sense many more epic adventures in the future. Well… at least during the ever elusive "free time." So perhaps not in the immediate future but the near future.
