- There is something innately wrong…
There is something innately wrong with this. This is something that my guild would joke about during our raids. Never in my darkest of dreams though would I have ever imagined that Hello Kitty Island Adventure would ever surface as something based in reality… *shudder*

It was a wise choice, on Sanrio’s behalf. If you think about it, when people like Hello Kitty, they -really- like Hello Kitty. This just brings their obsession up another level. If all goes well with the program, I predict that Sanrio will be -very- pleased with the results. It may be free, but it could generate a lot publicity with young females, who will, in return, will go out buy all the Hello Kitty products.

I know it’ll turn out very well. The Hello Kitty franchise is -very- lucrative. In Japan… Hello Kitty is almost a national icon. They have Hello Kitty everything: construction workers, police officer, you name it, and they probably have it. I almost regret not going to Hello Kitty Land to take pictures and show proof.
A Hello Kitty MMO is a rather far departure from your typical mmo enterprise. They will grab a large untapped segment of users and will make some good returns because of it.
It’s just so funny though… We would always joke about playing “Hello Kitty Island Adventure” as a reason for not participating in our raids and the like. I never thought that they would try to implement such a thing. And I kinda wish I had… It does seem to be a good move.
