« I’ve heard of it before…| A Year In Review: 2007 »

To celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the new, I was able to host a New Year’s Eve Bash at my house. The plans were originally to have a World Domination style party but upon further reflection that would’ve limited the number of people that I could share this event with and I would much rather involve all my friends in this occasion. World Domination party will continue at a later date.

Most of the Quiz Team came over as well as some close family friends. Altogether about twenty people came over making this event one of, if not the, largest get-togethers we’ve had in a long time.

I took a rather ad lib approach to the actual games which seemed to have turned out all right. Admittedly things would’ve improved a bit if I had more forethought but I’m quite satisfied with the turnout. We partook in games of Apples to Apples, Catch Phrase, Wii games like WarioWare and Mario Party, chess, and truth or dare Jenga (which I declined in participating in. Yeah, I know. Where’s my sense of adventure? *smile*).

The actual ringing of midnight turned out rather subpar as I had kinda forgotten about that but next year I shall not make that mistake. And I totally plan on having a repeat New Year’s celebration next year. There will most definitely be fireworks…

Though next year… I’m going to make sure that I have that day off. I did inventory starting at 3am in the morning on the Eve (and on a side note, that was my last day at Safeway) and didn’t get to bed until after 3am New Year’s Day. I heard my alarm go off twice before I finally got to bed…

Much thanks to my parents who were gracious enough to allow me to use our residence as the location for the event.
