« Christmas by Jimmy Eat World…| Fanfics tend to be rather… »

Ana, one of the quizzers, invited the Quiz Team over to her house yesterday for a christmas party. The long hard grind of work and school has most definitely made its toll on me but these few days that we’ve been able to come together and hang out have truly been a blessing for me. All work and no play most certainly makes Jack a dull boy.

And what an awesome party it was. Filled with craziness such as polka dancing and games of mafia, it certainly wasn’t a dull event

We also had a gift exchange which thankfully we continued with despite some miscommunications. I actually rather like gift exchanges. Secret Santa-style are my favorite as catering gifts towards people strongly appeal to me but I do like the other styles as well.

For this one I got together an awesome (in my own mind at least) gift. The awesome value wasn’t found in the actual items of the gift itself but more in the idea that it presents. Inspired by this XKCD comic strip, the gift itself traveled many hands (due to my encouragement as I tried to prolong the exchange’s stealing process which rather failed) before finally settling upon its final owner. I don’t think the idea presented by this gift will go unappreciated nor unrealized (if not by her then her brothers) and now I’ll have to accomplish my own implementation of it before she does. The race is on!

The people in Quiz are pretty much awesome. What started out as a place to hang out with my friend has turned into a small group filled with many friends. Quizzing itself was fun but without the people, I wouldn’t have stuck with it. I love how our team has decided to emphasize the personal aspect of quiz and not get lost in the technicalities. Yes, we’d be far better off in terms of achievements if we changed our focus but in terms of true value we gain so much.

And as promised… The many faces of Ana. Unfortunately it’s only a sixth of what I promised.

I love how “miscommunications” is a link to my site. Nice.

I’m not entirely sure, but I think Aaron and I are quite photogenic.

And that picture of Aaron at the top makes me throw up.

Ah~ I had meant to link to a specific article. Fixed now.

You should see my other pictures. I rather like how those turned out. That style is rather nifty I think.
