My dad stopped into Safeway today as I was working. I showed him where something was that he wanted as one of the courtesy clerks walked on by.

Not that long later the courtesy clerk came up to me all excited like as I was helping another customer. I feared that I had broken some corporate regulation about helping your poor father but my fears were misplaced. He told me that after seeing my dad and myself together, he finally recognized me.

Apparently we were the best of friends in the third grade. After he said that I took another look at him and realized that he was right. Boy… people certainly do change after ten or so years. We’ve seen each other and have talked together before not knowing our past and it took my dad to finally bring it all back.

Oh wow… My mind pretty much broke at that. So weird… and so awesome…

  • I’m a fan of colorful wallpapers and all but I’m not quite sure whether I’d like a more active wallpaper. Vista has the capability to set video as your wallpaper. Interesting choice though for their intro for that though. (0)

I am dying.

Why must I die? I’m so young and so awesome. What does Life have against me?

Apparently Life is jealous of my Awesomeness. “Why are you so Awesome and not me?” He asked me.

To which I replied, “Because you are Life and Life is never awesome but rather Mediocre or Sporty at best.”

I guess that’s where it went downhill. Life wasn’t quite as pleased with my smart aleck response as I was. Someday I’ll learn from my mistakes but for now I’ll just reap what I sowed.

But you know? Life has always had this thing against me. At birth it gave me an Aura of Sportiness. To which I developed my Awesomeness to counter it. An evolutionary move designed to protect me from the negative effects of Life’s curse. Unfortunately it’s not strong enough yet. But some day! Some day it will be!

  • Presenting “Marry Me” a webcomic in which the premise is this famous pop singer marries, on a whim, this random guy who’s holding up a “marry me” sign. I thought the concept was funny. I’m reading through it now. (0)
  • Saiunkoku Monogatari Episode 35 - And the “battle of wits” is revealed in this series. Alas, the verbal jousting wasn’t quite up to par with that of Wesley and the Sicilian. And why did they have to make the evil character “lovable” at the very end? I hate them for doing that to me. (0)
