Yesterday I decided to walk around in Shinjuku exploring the various stores that they have there. However most things weren’t open yet so I decided to check out Shinjuku Gyoen - the Shinjuku National Park. It cost me 200 yen to enter but definitely worth it.

The park was very beautiful. It was divided into several sections depicting traditional Japanese style gardens. Unfortunately the greenhouses were under construction so I wasn’t able to go into those. I managed to get quite a few nice shots while I was there. You can check them out at my google photo album.

They also had a foreign section with all sorts of pretty flowers and trees. Kind of odd to transition from your traditional Japanese garden to something out of Central Park in New York.
