“Nothing would ever get done if it weren’t for the last second.”

Once upon a time, I was very self-disciplined, very self-motivated. However since I’ve started college that has slowly deteriorated. Perhaps it’s due to burnout but I’ve found myself slipping into that “last second” mentality in which I do everything. It is kind of amazing to see how much I can actually accomplish in such a sort amount of time but as everything is done within that last second, the actual quality of the end result is very much sub par.

This cannot be. I cannot accept such pitiful results do to my own laziness.

I must fight the apathy that suppresses my inclination to complete my projects well before the due date. I also need to make the time in my very much hectic schedule to do this.

School ends in two to three weeks, shall I finish it with a bang? I believe I’m up to the challenge.

I cannot rest upon my laurels. It’s time to retake that which was once mine.

  • Evangelion Live Action “Trailor.” Some guy actually compiled random footage from various movies to do it and I must say that he did a good job. A live action Evangelion movie would be really cool. (0)

“It’s a nice day for a white wedding.”

Long time, no post, jah? Looks like I still haven’t gotten my act together. *smile*

My cousin is having his wedding this weekend. He’s in the military and just got his orders to return to Iraq so he and his signifigant other decided to have their wedding early. Kinda rushed as the announcement was two weeks ago but they’ll have another one later at an undisclosed time in Europe (the bride is European. She’s either from Switzerland or Finland. Can’t remember which).

Originally I wasn’t able to go due to my work schedule but I worked my magic and got Friday/Saturday off. Made a big mess of the schedule but I think it’s reallly important to go.

We fly in the morning on Friday and either leave late Saturday or Sunday depending on whether I have to work Sunday. The wedding is a two hours drive from Los Vegas.

“I’ve been away for so long (so long)”

As my grandma said to me, “This’ll be the first time that everyone has gotten together in one place since 1994.” At least on my mother’s side of the family.
